AVL CS Day is back for 2026!
What is Asheville Computer Science Day? It’s a FREE event for the local tech community to gather and learn. There will be several technical talks followed by a social gathering with dinner and drinks.

3:30-4:00 arrive and mingle

- 5:00 — Effects of AI on CS Education and Junior Developers, Dr. Tim Scapin, Haywood Community College
- 5:30 — Seeing through the Hot Air: Heat-Induced Turbulence Simulation and Motion Field Decomposition, Dr. Nianyi Li, Clemson University
- 6:00 — Thanks and wrap-up technical program, Kevin Sanft, UNCA Computer Science
